Green and Blue tablesetting

One of my favorite colors is green.

Green is the color of growth, nature, and money.

Psychology of Color: Green

A calming color also that's very pleasing to the senses. Dark forest green is associated with terms like conservative, masculine and wealth. Hospitals use light green rooms because they too are found to be calming to patients. It is also the color associated with envy, good luck, generosity and fertility. It is the traditional color of peace, harmony, comfortable nurturing, support and well paced energy.

What's your favorite color?

  1. Love the insights into the color green. I've been a blue and white girl for years, but recently I've grown more and more fond of the greens. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  3. Patti, I'm glad to see this post. The image as been on my sidebar for a couple of days, but no link to this post. Love the green with the CC, and I've always liked green and blue together. As for a favorite color, I'm not one to play favorites. I truly like many different colors. Depends on my mood. We live with a lot of blues and reds, but green and yellows are plentiful too.

  4. Oh Patti, I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE that flower dish(WHO is the maker?????) I too LOVE green and use it SO OFTEN. But when anyone asks my favorite color I have to pause because I always need to know "In reference to WHAT?"... If it's clothing, dinnerware, my home curtains, flowers...Hehehe, "I find the question SO HARD to answer"!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing...LOVED your post!

  5. Those flowered dishes are so pretty! I love green too. Most rooms in my home are in a shade of green. I find it relaxing and it makes me feel like I am in nature.

  6. Great stack of plates and the color green is calming! The green plate with the embossed check pattern is a beautiful shade of green. My favorite color is what I call Tiffany Box Blue and is the hue of my velvet sofa that is an antique having a french flair with carved roses and curved feet. The color and the sofa remind me of the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, if we could only be as sophisticated as Audrey in her LBD.

    Thanks, Pam
